Fans who attended the Seattle Mariners game at Safeco Field Friday night were treated to an amazing rendition of the national anthem.
This is because Mike McCready, lead guitarist for Pearl Jam, was on hand to perform the traditional tune and did so with the help of his electric guitar. McCready followed up this performance by tossing out the ceremonial first pitch, as well. That's not a bad night at the ballpark at all.
The city of Seattle is known for a lot of things, but producing one of the greatest American rock bands of the 1990s may be one of its most proudest.
Oh, and Starbucks isn't too bad, either, I suppose.
