Video: Indiana Hoosiers unveil metallic candy-striped football helmets

The Indiana Hoosiers have a proud and rich tradition in basketball. Football, on the other hand, is another story.

On Monday, the perennial Big Ten Conference basement dwellers unveiled five new helmets in an effort to turn the perception of the program around. At least that is what one has to believe anyway.

Seen in the video above is the team's reaction to each and everyone. As you can see, the players exhibit the most reaction to the last one, which is a candy-striped design that is sure to distract even the most focused of opposing teams.

Perhaps this crimson and metallic concoction is an attempt to confuse, blind, or disorient Michigan and Ohio State on the field. After all, the Hoosiers need every advantage they can in order to stay competitive with the big boys in the Big Ten.
