Several members of the Cincinnati Bengals were on hand before the Reds-Rockies game Wednesday to take batting practice on the field at Great American Ball Park.
Some of those members included quarterback Andy Dalton, wide receiver A.J. Green, and head coach Marvin Lewis. Each one of them got an opportunity to take some cuts on a big league field. And apparently they all enjoyed the experience.
However, their occupation of the batting cage may have come back to cost the Redlegs, as they dropped a 12-4 decision, and subsequently the series, to the pesky Rockies. Colorado smacked 20 hits and cracked a stadium record six home runs by a visiting team.
