It's hard enough to hit a major league fastball, especially one from Atlanta Braves closer Craig Kimbrel.
However, it is a totally different degree of difficulty to hit while bugs are flying into your eye.
Such was the case for Kansas City Royals hitter Alex Gordon Tuesday night when a moth appeared to make its way into his eye during a ninth inning at-bat.
Gordon immediately backed away from the plate and was granted a timeout as Kimbrel wound up throwing the pitch to the backstop.
Gordon eventually found his way back into the batter's box and subsequently drew an intentional walk moments later.
