Video: 13-year-old boy throws first telerobotic pitch in history

On Wednesday, before the Yankees-Athletics take the field in Oakland, 13-year-old Nick LeGrande threw out the ceremonial first pitch from 1,800 miles away.

LeGrande was recently diagonsed with aplastic anemia, which has comprised his immune system to the point where he cannot be around large crowds.

So, the folks at Google worked with the LeGrande family to set up the first telerobotic first pitch in major league history.

Here is what the end result looked like.
