Robert Griffin III to continue rehab on honeymoon

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is adamant that his surgically repaired right knee will be ready when the team begins training camp July 25.

He is doing everything in his power to make sure the rehabilitation stays on schedule which includes putting in long hours at the complex. And the promise to be ready to go by the end of July could possibly mean rehabbing on his honeymoon, too.

"I'm planning ahead to make sure I do the things I have to do while I'm on that honeymoon," Griffin said. "And I think I'm a responsible guy, so I'll make sure I do everything I have to, to be ready -- cutting, running, working out -- and so when I get back and they see me, they'll be not only impressed, but they'll feel safe and sound to put me out there."

One thing Griffin won't have to worry about between now and then is the stress of wedding planning. Fiance Rebecca Liddicoat is supposedly taking care of all that.

"I have no say," Griffin said of wedding planning. "I'm just trying to make sure she doesn't become a bridezilla. She'll be fine, but I'm doing little things here and there behind the scenes, with the groomsmen, and little stuff for the wedding. She'll set everything up and then ask me whether I like this or that, and sometimes I actually have a choice and sometimes it doesn't really matter what I say. It's her day, so she's got to enjoy it."
Griffin's wedding is slated for July 6, by the way.
