Pittsburgh Steelers fans who have been itching to go explore the open seas will have their chance in March 2014 when a Steelers-themed cruise embarks to the Bahamas.

The Steelers have partnered with a Pittsburgh-based travel company to offer fans the opportunity to embark on a six-day cruise along with 20 current and former Steelers players.

Some of the notable players include Hines Ward, Franco Harris, Greg Lloyd, Antwaan Randle El, and Mel Blount, among others.

Steelers fans, players and coaches will sail on the Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas vessel enjoying custom Steelers programming including daily autograph sessions, Super Bowl Rewinds with live player interviews, "Sailgate" Parties, a Steelers Got Talent Show featuring a Hines Ward dance number and more. There will be exciting activities for Steelers fans of all ages on board. Kids will be entertained from morning to night with NFL Play 60 activities on the sports deck, kids-only press conferences with players, interactive games and competitions, not to mention the many fun activities offered onboard by Royal Caribbean for kids of all ages.

A portion of the proceeds from the cruise will go toward the Mel Blount Youth Home and other charities including the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Light of Life Mission.

The first ever Steelers Cruise offers 1,100 staterooms with the lowest starting at $999 per person and trends upward to $2,799 per person for a luxurious suite. The package includes all-you-can-eat dining and access to all public Steelers and Royal Caribbean events on board the ship.

Some of the amenities the ship has to offer include six pools and whirlpools, over 100 spa treatments, a sports deck with a walking track, mini golf, golf simulator, rock climbing, and a water slide. The nine-story vessel also boasts a fully operating elevator that offers dazzling views of the sea.
