Minnesota Twins affiliate mocks Heat fans with promotion

Hey, remember how hundreds of Miami Heat fans left Game 6 early with their team trailing in the fourth quarter? Of course you do.

The Heat went on to win in overtime to force Thursday's Game 7, but those fans who left and tried to get in were denied.

Well, the Fort Myers Miracle, the Single-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, are offering those fans who left early a shot at redemption.

After fans exited game six of the NBA Finals before an exciting comeback win on Wednesday night, the Fort Myers Miracle want to take the "Heat" off Miami basketball fans with a chance at redemption. The Miracle are offering a "Big Three" deal for Miami fans that come to Thursday night's game against the Jupiter Hammerheads at Hammond Stadium. Fans wearing Heat gear will get a $3 ticket, but must enter the ballpark through the exit gates. To get the $3 deal, Heat fans must stay through the entire nine innings on a Thirsty Thursday.

In the end, it pays to be a bandwagon fan.

The only problem with this promotion is that it falls on the same evening as the decisive Game 7 of the NBA Finals. But then again I wonder how many Heat fans are even aware of that.
