Playing on the road isn't easy.
Different cities, different clubhouses, and opposing fans all factor into the equation. And for Baltimore Orioles outfielder Nate McLouth, so does getting doused with beer after making a fine catch.
As you can see in the video, McLouth made a terrific grab during the sixth inning of Thursday's Orioles-Blue Jays game that led him tumbling into the stands. Luckily, he was able to bounce back up after falling over the wall, but does so without the help of any of the fans around him.
Then, as McLouth is tossing the ball back into the infield, one fan from the upper deck decided to throw a full can of beer in his direction. Orioles broadcaster Jim Palmer is quick to quip "no class whatsoever" immediately following the spectacle.
Fortunately, nobody was hurt. But the gesture wasn't well received by the Orioles nor should it be. Keep it classy, Toronto.
