Video: Mariano Rivers throws out first pitch at Mets game

The farewell tour continues for MLB's all-time saves leader.

On Tuesday, Hall of Fame-bound Yankees closer Mariano Rivera was asked by the Mets to throw out the first pitch before the game. The Panama native obliged and the end result is what you see in the video above.

Rivera was applauded by nearly every fan in the stands at Citi Field. And deservedly so. The 43-year-old is pitching in his 19th big league season and has accumulated 12 trips to the All-Star game, 5 World Series titles, 5 Rolaids Relief Man Awards, and 1 World Series MVP Award (1999).
