This play epitomizes the current state of the Miami Marlins.
It came in the bottom of the fifth inning in Miami's game at Tampa Bay Tuesday night as Marlins right right fielder Marcell Ozuna attempted to flag down a foul pop hit by Rays slugger Evan Longoria. His pursuit of the ball carries him all the way over near the mounds in the bullpen. The rest is history.
Ozuna gets within inches of catching the baseball before getting tripped up by one of the mounds. Thus, causing him to wipe out and crash into the wall. Marcell would be okay, but the Marlins eventually surrendered the lead and the game, to drop to 13-39 on the year.
