Video: Is this pitch by Felix Doubront the worst of all-time?

Quick, somebody get Boston Red Sox southpaw Felix Doubront a rosin bag.

Watch as the hurler loses his grip on a pitch and proceeds to deliver a wild one during the third inning of Thursday's game against the Rays. As you can see, the ball lands nowhere near the plate, but eventually settles about halfway between home and first base, instead.

Maybe it was the humidity inside Tropicana Field, or maybe it was just bad luck, but whatever it was, it caused Doubront to uncork one of the wildest pitches you ever likely to see.

Luckily for him and the Sox, nobody was on base at the time.

Be sure to look for this play on baseball bloopers soon.
