Video: Fan gets drilled in the back by home run at Pirates game

It is always wise to keep your head on a swivel while attending a baseball game in person. Unfortunately, this fan learned that lesson the hard way during Sunday's Pirates-Nationals game in Pittsburgh.

Watch as the unsuspecting guy takes a menacing home run ball off his backside that was hit by Washington's Tyler Moore in the eighth inning.

It appears as though the fan was climbing the outfield stairs to head toward either the restroom or the concession stand. He ended up with a dose of pain and maybe a bruise instead.

Luckily, the guy appears to be built like a rock, and shook it off like a champ. But it still doesn't change the fact that he somehow got drilled by a home run ball when he wasn't looking. That is quite the feat in and of itself.
