Toronto Blue Jays first basemen Edwin Encarnacion hit a tape measure home run off Boston Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester Tuesday night. The ball was hit so hard and so far that it wound up in the upper deck section of the Rogers Centre.
For those who have never been to the Rogers Centre, or for those who don't know how far that actually is, let it be known that it is extremely far away from home plate.
Encarnacion wasn't done there, though. The Dominican native blasted another homer two innings later to put the Jays on top, 8-7. Toronto eventually secured a 9-7 victory and Encarnacion is obviously a huge reason why.
