It was a wet and soggy one in Chicago Tuesday night as the White Sox upended Boston, 3-1.
A downpour of rain doused players in the ninth inning as the home squad tried to seal the victory. Naturally, it caused some issues.
With one out, Red Sox hitter Daniel Nava lifted a fly ball toward the warning track in left field. Normally, the batted ball would be a relatively simply play to make. However, given the rainy conditions, Casper Wells had a little more difficulty making the catch.
Watch as the young outfielder loses his footing, but still manages to make the catch as he is falling to the ground. His effort is applauded by the few folks in the crowd who decided to stick out the rain.
