Washington Nationals phenom Bryce Harper took one to the chin late Monday night in Los Angeles. Quite literally.
Harper had to receive 11 stitches after running full speed into the outfield fence at Dodger Stadium.
The play came in the top of the fifth inning when Harper tried to track down a deep fly ball off the bat of Dodgers catcher A.J. Ellis. However, Harper seems to lose track of the proximity of the wall and proceeds to run face-first into it, which immediately sends him tumbling to the ground.
He eventually exited the field under his own power after laying motionless for a bit.
Amazingly, Harper sustained no concussion from the crash.
