The Colorado Rockies unleashed their secret weapon against David Price and the Tampa Bay Rays Saturday night at Coors Field.
Seen here is a black bird taking in the action besides the pitcher's mound as Price deals against the Rockies in the bottom of the seventh inning. The bird's mere presence must have caused some sort of distraction to Price, because the southpaw surrendered five runs in the frame, four of which came via grand slam by Nolan Arenado. All in all, it was Price's worst outing of the year (11 H, 9 ER) and ballooned his 2013 ERA to 6.25.
Colorado moved to 18-12 on the season after winding up with a 9-3 victory.
