Photo: Mets fan creates clever John Buck jersey

New York Mets catcher John Buck is making a great impression with his new club this season. Buck, who spent last year with the Miami Marlins, is currently leading the National League in runs batted in (27) and ranks second in home runs (9).

Naturally, his offensive emergence has sparked many fans around the Big Apple to seek out places where they can buy a Mets jersey with his name on the back. But because he is still relatively new to the team, and because not many folks expected him to be the star early on, there aren't many (if any) Buck jerseys available right now.

So, this Mets fan (photo above) took it upon himself to make one. He essentially covered up on old No. 44 Jason Bay jersey with an actual buck. That's right. A good old fashioned one dollar bill with George Washington's portrait is meant to pay homage to the new fan favorite.
