Video: Paper airplane stops play during Yankees-Blue Jays game

A paper airplane temporarily stopped play between the Yankees and Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre Friday night.

It appears as if one mischievous fan (or fans) attempted to delay the Blue Jays' inevitable defeat just a little while longer with the shenanigan.

The incident occurred in the bottom of the ninth inning with Jose Bautista at the plate and Toronto trailing, 9-3.

The Jays did push one run across the board after the airplane landing, though. J.P. Arencibia smacked a solo home run to pull Toronto within five, but in the end it was New York who prevailed.

Toronto's record now stands at 0-1 this season when a paper airplane interrupts the action. Maybe upcoming opponents should make a note.
