Here is an example of how chivalry is dead in this country.
With the Cardinals leading the Diamondbacks 3-1 in the top of the seventh, St. Louis shortstop Pete Kozma proceeds to smash a long drive to left center field off Heath Bell.
The ball soars over the wall toward an unsuspecting couple sitting at a table. The guy in this video sees the ball coming at the very last moment, and without much thought at all, avoids being hit by sliding out of the way.
However, he neglects to protect his most valuable asset, presumably his wife or girlfriend, who takes the home run ball off the back of her cranium, instead. What a gentleman.
To make matters worse for the couple, the Cards won the game, 6-1.
