Photo: Marlins Park virtually empty Wednesday night

Just two days removed from packing the stands in their home opener, this was the scene at Marlins Park Wednesday night as the Marlins played host to the Braves.

As you can see, the photo was taken during the national anthem, and you can almost count the number of fans residing in the stadium on one hand.

The box score from the game claims 13,810 people went were in attendance, but I'm thinking that number was closer to around 3,000.

It's hard to blame the fans for not showing up, though. Their owner is arguably one of the worst human beings on the face of the planet after swindling tax dollars to fund a state-of-the-art stadium, teasing fans by bringing in big free agents, then imploding the roster less than a year later.

Aside from the poor showing in the stands, things aren't looking too good on the diamond, either. The Fish fell to 1-8 on the year after being handed an 8-0 defeat by the surging Braves (8-1).
