Grambling State baseball team loses game by 30 runs

Tuesday was a rough day for the Grambling State University baseball team. They paid a visit to Central Arkansas and were subsequently hammered by the Bears, 30-0.

Grambling starting pitcher Armando Manrrique was chased from the game after he surrendered five hits and six earned runs without even recording one out. Ouch.

Central Arkansas scored in every inning including seven in the first frame alone. By the end of the fifth, they mercifully led by a tally of 21-0. They pounded out 27 hits and were the beneficiaries of six fielding errors by the Tigers. A crowd of 208 was on hand to witness it all.

Grambling's athletic department is already trying to pick itself off the ground after the basketball squad posted a woeful 0-28 record this past season.
