With the 2013 NFL Draft just a couple of days away, retired quarterback Brett Favre sent out a tweet wishing good luck to all of the draft hopefuls.
He also included a picture of himself lying in bed while receiving the call from the Atlanta Falcons informing him that he had been drafted (2nd round-33rd overall). Does anyone else think the people in the background look eerily similar to wall posters? Nonetheless, the image is a candid photo of one of the most decorated signal callers in professional football history.
I remember the '91 draft like it was yesterday. Best of luck to all the draftees #nfldraft2013 twitter.com/Favre4Official…Favre would go on to throw just four passes in his Falcons career before being traded to the Green Bay Packers in 1992. The rest, as they say, is history. Favre went on to become a star in Green Bay, spending 16 seasons there before serving brief stints with the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings, before calling it quits for good in 2011.
