Video: Three players ejected during St. John's game after punch thrown

The Big East Conference clash between St. John's and Notre Dame turned violent Tuesday night.

With just under two minutes remaining, and the Irish clinging to a 26-point lead, Notre Dame head coach Mike Bray calls a timeout to allow senior Jack Cooley to get a standing ovation from the home crowd on Senior Night. However, Cooley's moment in the spotlight is cut short after St. John's sophomore Sir'Dominic Pointer delivers a punch to the head of Irish freshman Cameron Biedscheid.

Both players were subsequently ejected for their role in the fiasco. Red Storm forward Amir Garrett was ejected for leaving the bench during the fight, as well.

Further disciplinary action is sure to come.

St. John's actually held an advantage at halftime by a mark of 26-22. But things fell apart in the second half as the Irish outscored the visitors 44-14 en route to a 66-40 Big East win.
