Video: Ottawa Senator pulls out bag of tricks for shootout

The Boston Bruins beat the visiting Ottawa Senators 3-2 in a shootout on Monday, but it was the flashy shot attempt by Ottawa's Kaspars Daugavins that has everyone talking now.

The Senators forward took off from the middle of the ice toward Boston goalie Tuuka Rask by guiding the puck with the blade of his stick. As he gets within striking distance of the goal, Daugavins turns 360 degrees and tries to sneak the puck by Rask on the right side. Rask isn't fooled and manages to foil the shot attempt.

Apparently, Daugavins has tried this move before in the American Hockey League and had succeeded. So, he decided to pull out the old trick once again. Unfortunately, it didn't work this time.

"A little unlucky," he said, laughing. "Now I look like a fool."
