Video: Jamie McBain scores unfortunate own goal
Tuesday night, the Winnipeg Jets sent the Carolina Hurricanes to their sixth consecutive defeat. They did so by effectively outscoring Carolina by a tally of 4-1. But one of those goals credit to the Jets came courtesy of Hurricanes defenseman Jamie McBain.
The incident occurred as McBain was trying to clear the puck after Winnipeg forward Evander Kane forced a pass into the goal area.
However, McBain completely missed, and knocked the puck backwards into his own net when he brought his stick back.
The same thing happened to the slumping Hurricanes last Thursday when Jordan Staal fired a shot into an empty net against New Jersey.
Rough week for Carolina.
