Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson normally provides the action on the field rather than describing it.
But on Wednesday, the All-Star tried his hand at handling the play-by-play duties during the fourth inning of the Yankees' game against the Phillies.
Granderson starts out strong by giving the listeners an eloquent description of the playing conditions and a nice analysis of what New York needs to get out of trouble. However, his biased view on the game is quickly exposed as the Yankees fail to turn a double play due to a close call at first. You can't be rooting for sides as an announcer, Granderson!
Unfortunately, he won't be back in the Yankees lineup anytime soon. Granderson is expected to be out until early-May after suffering a fractured right arm due to being hit by a pitch in February.
