Indianapolis Indians offer fans a chance to vote on how grass is cut

Minor league baseball promotions are the best.

The Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates are offering fans the chance to decide how the grass will be cut for Opening Night.

The Indianapolis Indians are set to host the Columbus Clippers on April 4 at Victory Field. How will the field look like that night? This important decision is apparently up to the fans.

From their official website:
The Indianapolis Indians are offering fans a one-of-a-kind opportunity to be involved with Opening Night, through online voting of their favorite field design pattern at Victory Field. The winning pattern will be mowed onto the playing surface when the Tribe faces the Columbus Clippers in their 2013 home opener on Thursday, April 4 at 7:05 p.m. Voting Ends March 22.
Fans have the option to vote on one of four different patterns including a cell cut, a checkered cut, a diamond cut, and a phillies cut.

Photos of the designs can be seen below.

Be sure to cast your vote before March 22.
