The Greek Cup final between Olympicos and Panathinaikos took a dangerous turn on Sunday.
During pre-game warmups, Olympicos forward Kyle Hines was struck in the head by a flare and reportedly had some of his hair burned in the process. The former UNC Greensboro player opted to play in the game anyway.
But the extracurricular moments of violence didn't stop there. Just 13 minutes into the game, the referee ordered the players off the court after fans proceeded to toss flares at each other and then began spilling onto the court.
The game eventually resumed after officials cleared out the arena and announced that the game would be completed in front of league officials, club personnel, journalists and security staff, only.
