Video: Florida's Casey Prather leaves game with gash on head

Florida's trip to Knoxville on Tuesday was a rather painful one.

Billy Donovan's Gators fell to the Volunteers by a score of 64-58 and dropped to 1-7 in their last eight road games at Thompson-Boling Arena.

However, no Florida player felt the sting of this loss more than junior Casey Prather, who was forced to leave the game with just under three minutes to go when suffering a scary head injury in a collision with teammate Mike Rosario.

The incident occurred during a mad scramble for a loose ball following an errant three-point shot attempt by Rosario. Rosario appears to run full speed into Prather on the play, which opens up a gash above Prather's right eye and leads to considerable bleeding.

A trainer quickly attended to Prather before leading him into the locker room for further medical treatment.

Prather finished with 10 points and two rebounds off the bench.

Donovan said on his postgame radio show that Prather may have sustained a concussion from the misfortunate blow to the head.
