Video: Auburn student wins $5,000 scholarship by hitting half-court shot

Who ever said Auburn was a football school?

On Wednesday, the Arkansas Razorbacks handed the Tigers an 83-75 defeat. However, the crowd did have something to cheer about during halftime as Auburn student Stephen Bass won a $5,000 scholarship in the Golden Flakes Tuition Shootout.

Bass successfully made a layup, free throw, 3-pointer, and a half-court shot in 24 seconds to take home the prize. The odds of him winning didn't look good once he missed not one, but two 3-point shot attempts, before nailing the third. He then quickly retrieved the ball and chucked a prayer toward the opposite basket.

His prayer was answered as the ball tickled the nylon and sent the home crowd into a celebratory cheer.
