Tennessee Titans tight end Brandon Barden was reportedly arrested last Saturday in Lincoln County, Ga. on suspicion of DUI.
The 23-year old was involved in a single-car accident on Highway 220 and police believe alcohol was partly to blame.
Officers say Barden left the right side of the roadway sometime before 4:30 a.m., losing control and hitting a ditch drain before the car flipped one and a half times, landing on its side.
Upon approaching the inside of the vehicle, a reporting officer said he could "smell a strong odor of alcohol." When asked to take a field sobriety test, Barden refused. Barden also refused to roadside Alco-Senor testing and state chemical testing, as well.
According to the report, both Barden and his passenger refused medical attention at the scene of the accident.
Barden was charged with DUI on refusal and booked into jail. He has since been freed on bond.
The Vanderbilt product appeared in three games for the Titans last season, but did not record a catch.
