Video: JaVale McGee nails first 3-point shot of his career
It was a momentous occasion in more ways than one at the Pepsi Center on Tuesday night.
The Denver Nuggets put an end to the Los Angeles Clippers' 17-game winning streak after dismantling the visitors, 92-78. And as if that wasn't reason enough to celebrate, Nuggets forward JaVale McGee connected for his first made 3-pointer of his career, as well.
The majestic shot came as the buzzer sounded at the end of the third quarter, and ignited the home crowd into a rousing cheer. Yes, the rout was on.
He had previously played in 307 career games before Tuesday, but had taken only four shot attempts from behind the arc. This make now significantly increases his 3-point percentage to 20%.
McGee finished with 11 points off the bench.
