No other details were released other than the fact that police received the complaints within an hour of each other Monday afternoon and that they had received several complaints of loud music coming from Sprewell's home in recent months, as well.
The 42-year old was booked into the nearby jail at around 4:15 p.m.
Sprewell split his 13-year NBA career between the Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, and most notably, the New York Knicks. He was named an All-Star four times and earned All-NBA First Team honors in 1994.
He accumulated 16,712 points in his professional career, which amounts to 18.3 PPG.

One sad detail I recall was Latrell's contract spat/conflict with Minnesota following Minnesota's 2004 season, when he and Sam Cassell had teamed with Kevin Garnett to reach the conference finals against LA. While he'd had a good year, he was near mid-30's and clearly on the decline. Minnesota was offering him GOOD $$ for 2 more years, and he held out, greatly overestimating his worth. Finally, the Minn owner got fed up and took his offer off the table. Sprewell played that next year and that was it, end of career, even though he was still decently productive - probably scared teams away with his attitude. So, I don't think that you can correctly say that they have a "lack of education". It's called a noise complaint and there are laws against it. It has nothing to do with being a hater. It's all about being considerate of one another. When you want to relax and enjoy your music is it okay to be so self-centered that you can't understand others should also be able to relax and enjoy themselves also? When what you do is impacting someone elses peace and quiet and you continue in that vein you deserve a visit from the authorities.
