Florida Gators freshman football player jailed on grand theft auto charge

A third member of the Florida Gators football program has been arrested in less than a week.

Freshman offensive lineman Jessamen Dunker was jailed on Wednesday and charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle -- a third-degree felony. He reportedly stole a scooter and drove it around campus.

The 19-year old was also charged with driving on a suspended license.

Dunker, who played his prep ball at Boynton Beach High School, was expected to compete for a starting job this upcoming season after being redshirted as a freshman.

Head coach Will Muschamp is reportedly aware of the incident and is scheduled to meet with the media on Friday, according to a spokesperson. Muschamp is currently on the road recruiting.

Former Gators Doug Johnson and Chris Rainey have also been arrested during the past week.
