Canadian beauty queen pleads guilty to riot charges stemming from 2011

A 22-year-old beauty queen from Canada pleaded guilty to destruction of public property charges on Monday.

The charges stem from June 2011 when Vancouverites rioted the city after the Canucks lost to the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Finals. Cars were flipped, windows were busted, and things were burned during the night of mayhem. And it appears as though Sophie Laboissonniere was in on it, too.

Laboissonnierre was arrested on June 15, along with several other rioters, just five months after being voted Miss Congeniality at the Miss Coastal Vancouver Pageant. Finally, a girl with the looks and the attitude!

To date, there have been 110 guilty pleas by suspected offenders, including Laboissonniere.

You know, this could have all been avoided if the NHL would have been locked out just as it's recently been this year. Just a thought.
