Two Royals, one pair of pants

Seen here are Kansas City Royals' teammates Everett Teaford (5-11, 155 pounds) and Tim Collins (5-7, 170 pounds) squeezing into fellow 'mate Jonathan Broxton's (6-4, 290 pounds) pants. This photo should end any and all debate on whether or not MLB players take Spring Training seriously.

Bow to the brow

Pic courtesy of Yahoo! Sports
There's nothing like a bond between a mother and her child. Seen above is Mrs. Davis, proud mom of SEC POY and future overall #1 NBA Draft pick Anthony Davis, sporting a striking similarity of her teenage son.

The elder Davis recently wore a mask resembling her son's bushy eyebrow-style to the SEC Tournament in a show of support. Despite her "taking one for the team", Anthony and the Wildcats fell to Vanderbilt in the title game 71-64. However, there's a happy ending yet. Kentucky did manage to garner the no. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

S(h)ave the facial hair jokes for later folks.

Player gets pantsed on ESPN

Drexel forward Daryl McCoy was dealt a double dose of humility on Monday. As if falling victim to the upset bug to the hands of VCU in the CAA title game wasn't enough, the junior also had to endure a wardrobe malfunction on national TV. His unfortunate occurence gives new meaning to the term "March Madness"

With just over seven minutes remaining in the first half TV cameras literally caught McCoy with his pants down. The play occurred when Rams freshman Treveon Graham tried to correct his balance after being fouled using McCoy's trousers. The end result is the classic pants to the ankles trick in which exposed nothing but his underoos.

And just when you think the horror of it all is over, the Dragons must now await their postseason fate until Sunday. Despite posting a 27-6 record, the squad failed to secure one of the 31 automatic bids and will now leave it up to the selection committe to decide whether or not they're worthy of an at-large  berth. Although McCoy's shorts have been stripped, let's hope the committe doesn't strip his March Madness aspirations too.

Birdman gets grounded by Duncan

It's not too uncommon to get embarrased in the National Basketball Association. It is however, uncommon to get embarrassed twice in the same play. That's exactly what happened to Chris "Birdman" Andersen in a recent game between the Spurs and the Nugggets.

Seen below is San Antonio forward Tim Duncan inadvertenly smacking Andersen on the drive with the ball, and then proceeding to dunk all over him while taking him to the ground.

Although that particular play didn't go well for the tatted-up Andersen nor his team, the visiting Nuggets did pull off a 99-94 victory on Sunday.

One insane looking own goal

Assaf Mendes should have seen it coming. A strong wind coupled by a lazy kick is always a recipe for disaster.

Nonetheless, the Maccabi Haifa keeper lived through every stopper's nightmare when a ball struck by his own foot ended up in his own net.

See for yourself as the ball acts more like a boomerang than a round object in the video clip below. Apparently, the game was later delayed due to a strong gust that made one of the goals start to float away.

Thanks to Ryan Bailey of Yahoo Sports! for the find.
