ESPN announcer makes questionable remark regarding Kansas State player's ethnicity

ESPN announcer Mitch Holthus made some questionable remarks toward Kansas State guard Angel Rodriguez on Saturday. The comments came midway through the second half of Kansas State's 67-61 upset victory over No. 8 Florida.

Upon Rodriguez picking up his third foul, Holthus made a comment regarding Rodriguez's "Puerto Rican temper", which has many folks crying foul that it was meant to be an ethnic slur. Fellow broadcaster Fran Franschilla remained quiet in response to Holthus' remark. That was probably a good decision on Franschilla's part.

The ethnic reference in question comes near the end of the video clip. See for yourself and determine whether or not you believe Holthus meant any ill will by it.
This is isn't the first time that Rodriguez has had to deal with insensitive remarks. He was the subject of "where is your green card" chants from the Southern Miss band last season.
