Video: Virginia quarterback Philips Simms drops wide open pass in the endzone
There is a reason why quarterbacks don't go out for passes, and Virginia Cavaliers quarterback Philip Sims showed why during this play in particular.
Seen here is Sims having a classic case of butterfingers while attempting to corral a potential touchdown catch during the first quarter of Saturday's contest at N.C. State.
Virginia ran the trick play to perfection before Sims dropped a wide-open pass from running back Perry Jones, proving once and for all that quarterbacks are better served to throw the ball rather than receive it.
