Let's give credit where credit is due. Some ballboys don't take their jobs seriously. Some ballboys won't attempt to go after balls that are clearly out of their reach. The Los Angeles Dodgers ballboy certainly isn't one of those type of guys.
This was evidenced during the fourth inning of Monday's Dodgers game against the San Francisco Giants. San Francisco's Buster Posey lines a 1-2 pitch from Aaron Harang down the first base line into the first row of seats, and just out of the reach of "Eddie's" outstretched glove. Eddie then tumbles over the wall into the fan section, and the rest is history. A ballboy legend has been born.
I give the play an A for effort.
