Photo: Illinois coach caught on camera using smokeless tobacco

On Saturday, Illinois head football coach Tim Beckham was caught on camera partaking in some smokeless tobacco before his team's game with Wisconsin. The move may land the rookie coach in some trouble as the use of tobacco during competition is a clear violation of NCAA rules.

Here's the NCAA bylaw regarding tobacco products:

"The use of tobacco products is prohibited for coaches, game officials and student athletes in all sports during practice and competition. A student-athlete who uses tobacco products during practice or competition is automatically disqualified for the remainder of that practice or game."

To add insult to injury, the Fighting Illini were wiped out by the Badgers, 31-14, to drop their record to 2-4 on the year. Yeah, that's likely to leave a sour taste in Beckham's mouth for sure.
