On Saturday, the San Francisco Giants clinched the National League West Division with an 8-4 win over the San Diego Padres. They received good pitching, timely hitting, and this defensive web gem by third basemen Pablo Sandoval.
The play occurred during the top of the fourth inning when San Diego's Yonder Alonso skied a foul pop up over near the third base dugout. Sandoval tracks it down and makes the grab just as he tumbles over the rail and into the first row of the stands unharmed. Perhaps the best part of the play isn't the catch nor the fact that he was able to gracefully fall over the rail, but rather the fact that he was blowing bubbles as he pursued the ball.
They don't call him the 'Kung Fu Panda' for nothing.
