Well, this is one way to break up a double play. Unintentional or not, Colorado Rockies outfielder Dexter Fowler manages to disrupt a twin killing by using his head -- literally.
The play happened in the top of the sixth inning during the Rockies-Giants game in San Francisco Tuesday night. What amazes me is the fact that Fowler shows no ill effects of getting pegged in the head at all. He simply trots off the diamond as if nothing ever happened.
"That's why you wear the helmet," exclaimed the color commentator calling the game. Indeed. It might have been bad news bears had he not.
