Is a documentary in the works for ex-NBA player Dennis Rodman?

One of the most eccentric players to ever lace 'em up in the NBA is currently in the process of making a documentary, according to this report by the USA Today. Rodman and his agent approached director and NBA super fan Penny Marshall about shooting one recently, and Marshall happily accepted.

"I have a little radar to the insane," boasted Marshall amid concerns in whether or not she could handle a guy like Rodman.

Marshall is also a huge fan of the league, partly in because she can get rid of her own demons.

"You can yell and scream at a game and no one's taking you away in a white coat," she said.

Marshall is no stranger to directing household names. She has directed the likes of Tom Hanks ("A League of Their Own"), Danny DeVito ("Renaissance Man"), Robert DeNiro ("Awakenings"), and Denzel Washington ("The Preacher's Wife"), but the 51-year old Rodman may be in a class of his own.

Rodman is a 5-time NBA champion, and 2-time Defensive Player of the Year Award winner. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.
