Sunday's game between the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers may go down as the most bizarre finish in MLB history.
Seen here is the first triple play of it's kind in nearly 130 years. For those keeping score at home, it went down as a 2-5-6-3 triple killing...meaning a putout a third, second and first were all recorded in the same play. The rare spectacle helped the host Dodgers nail down a 5-4 victory over their division rival.
However, the play didn't come without some controversy.
The last time such an event occurred in a major league game? Try September 13th, 1882 in a contest pitting the Cincinnati Red Stockings against the Louisville Colonels.
